Pour Over Copper Coffee Kettle
Carson Sio
A couple of months ago I was approached with a project for making some custom pour over coffee kettles for a local coffee shop. The project has yet to materialize as a commission, but the idea has been rattling around my head for a while so I decided to take a stab at it anyway.
The construction on this piece was pretty straight forward. The main body is a tapered cylinder with a flat bottom and rounded shoulders. The bottom and top ring are soldered in place, as well as the long thin tapered spout.
The handle and nob are made from claro walnut and fixed in place with brass rivets.
I really enjoyed making this little guy I hope I can do more in the future. It holds abouts 425ml of water and pours like a dream.
