My love affair with metalwork began as I was earning a Industrial Design degree from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. I took as many elective courses in the Metals department as I could, and after college started looking to design and produce my own work.
My work reflects a passion for the tools and techniques of traditional copper and silver smithing. I work in the Arts and Crafts style, the same conditions of the early 1900's that drove the Arts and Crafts movement are just as prevalent today. Rough hammer marks, texture, and patina's that connect the maker's hand to the product are a defining feature of my work.
